Lost in the Lakes!

You don't always need to travel so far to discover a sense of the wild. Lost In Scent recently packed up their car and headed to the northern Lake District, where they explored the very green and beautiful forests and fells of Bassenthwaite, Borrowdale and around Derwentwater.

One of our favourite little spots to explore was the unassuming beauty of Dodd Wood. A network of quiet paths around the forest and up to Dodd's 502m peak, it's great spot if you - like us - are a fan of ferns. A sea of the beautiful plants covered the forest on our visit, freshly watered by the Lakes' plentiful rainfall! And top marks was awarded to the Old Sawmill cafe at the foot of the fell, where homemade Mars Bar cake and fresh coffee was needed after a long day in our walking boots!

Although it was a holiday, we couldn't resist taking our candles up the fells for an impromptu photo shoot!
