If we can't go on a road trip, we like to indulge in the movie version of one. Here are our top five movies featuring a road trip...
1. Thelma and Louise (1991)
Directed by Ridley Scott, Thelma and Louise is the story of a road trip on the run from the law. Geena Davies and Susan Sarandon play buddies who ditch their dull lives for the weekend, with fatal consequences. Filmed in California, Utah and Colorado, the iconic final scene takes place in Dead Horse Point State Park.
Starring Guy Pearce, Hugo Weaving and Terence Stamp, this iconic Australian film finds three drag queens journeying across Australia's brutal outback. Featuring some unforgettable shots of glittering showgirls speeding through the red dust of the desert. Uplifting and challenging at the same time, it's a road trip we'd love to stow away on.
3. Sideways (2004)
Paul Giamatti and Thomas Hayden Church play friends on a stag party road trip to Santa Barbra Wine County. Beautiful scenery, vineyards and a great performance from Killing Eve's Sandra Oh make this a must-see movie.
